Michele Thompson, MA, LLP
Limited License Psychologist
When life becomes difficult or stressful, it can be challenging to reach out for help to manage overwhelming emotions.
Worry, depression, or anxiety can negatively impact your ability to get through a day. They can and lead you to feel alone. You may feel stuck and hopeless, and find it hard to see a way through the circumstances.
Building a supportive and encouraging connection with someone can help facilitate growth and lead to change during these difficult times.
My goal as a therapist is to create an atmosphere of warmth, collaboration, compassion, and hope with my clients.
I use evidenced-based treatments, including cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, and ARC (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency). I strive to help people learn how to cope with difficult emotions, improve their relationships, and develop a meaningful life in which they are pursuing their values.
I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, life transitions, interpersonal difficulties, and disordered eating behaviors.
Education, Training, and Certifications: B.A. in Psychology, M.S. in Clinical Psychology, and Limited Licensed Psychologist.
