Cherith Nottingham, LLPC
Limited License Professional Counselor
Welcome!
You have taken a courageous step. Seeking support is not easy, especially when it means facing the deeper parts of your story and doing the hard work of growth. I've been there too—finding a counselor and beginning the journey can feel daunting, but you are on a good, good path and there’s hope and goodness ahead.
As a counselor, I find deep joy in sitting with and creating a space where others can bring their unwanted thoughts and experiences into the counseling room without reservation. Together, we explore adaptive solutions—that lead to flourishing. While my approach is rooted in Christian values, I welcome clients from all backgrounds. If faith isn’t part of your journey, that’s okay—I’m here to support you where you are at.
My Approach
I’m an integrationist who considers the whole person—psychological, neurological, emotional, social, and spiritual. My practice is shaped by more than 30 years as a Christ-follower and decades of experience in lay counseling.
I’m also a licensed clinical mental health counselor (limited). As a helper I am trauma care and attachment informed. I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan—from adolescents to older adults—and have supported many through marital and familial relationship challenges. Finally, diversity is my gig—I am passionate about treating a diverse range of clients.
Modalities I Use
I have my preferences but together we will find what works for you!

Attachment-Informed Therapy: Understanding relational dynamics through the lens of attachment can bring relational clarity.
Trauma-Informed CBT: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy tailored to those with trauma histories helps reframe thought patterns and build resilience.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): ACT supports clients in embracing their values and committing to meaningful change.
