Olivia Gilbert, LLMSW
Limited License Master Social Worker

Hi, I'm Olivia.

I work with women and teen girls navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, boundaries, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is gentle, honest, and empowering. Rather than telling you what to do, I'll help you explore your options, process challenges, and make choices that align with your values and goals. Think of me as a steady, grounding presence as you navigate life's ups and downs.

My faith in Jesus Christ is an important part of who I am and shapes the values I bring to counseling. I have a heart for people wrestling with difficult questions, including questions about faith, church experiences, and spiritual growth. Whether you are deeply rooted in your faith, questioning what you believe, recovering from church hurt, or do not identify with a faith tradition, I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. In addition to my clinical work, I spent nearly a decade mentoring middle and high school girls in Christian ministry settings, helping them grow in faith and navigate life's challenges through a biblical lens.

For clients who desire it, I can incorporate prayer, Scripture, and biblical principles into counseling. For others, I provide the same compassionate, evidence-based care while respecting each person's beliefs, values, and goals.

Professionally, I worked seven years supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence. I believe every person has inherent dignity and worth, and I am passionate about helping clients recognize their strengths, build resilience, and move toward healing. I use a trauma-informed, person-centered approach that considers emotional, relational, and spiritual aspects of a person’s story. I draw from evidence-based practices while tailoring therapy to each client’s needs and goals.

Clients often describe me as easy to talk to and a good listener, which is exactly what I hope for. I want counseling to be a place where you can show up as you are—without pretending, performing, or having everything figured out.

My personal motto is simple: eat well, laugh lots, and enjoy whatever season you're in—whether that's the first blooms of spring, a quiet snowfall, or a sunny afternoon.

Education & Credentials: Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University; LLMSW with the State of Michigan; Attitudes, Relationships, Mind, and Skills (ARMS) of a Servant Leader Training (9 years) with Crossroads Farm Youth Ministry.
